Job summary

Expert Employment in Gloucester is seeking an Electronic Instrument Test technician with strong precision engineering and data acquisition, test validation and verification experience to join a comprehensive in-house test facility.

You will work with component and product instrumentation, handling data acquisition systems (NI DAQ), LabVIEW, and DASYLab, plus practical testing using sensors, accelerometers, flow meters, and thermocouples.

Qualifications

• Experience with data acquisition systems for experiments and data analysis.
• Background in precision engineering environment with practical testing.
• Proficient with NI LabVIEW, NI DAQ and DASYLab software/tools.
• Skills in wiring, soldering and instrumentation use.
• Ability to set up data acquisition software and interpret results.

Responsibilities

• Build and administer data acquisition systems for experiments in-house.
• Set up, configure and validate data acquisition software (LabVIEW/DASYLab).
• Operate instrumentation such as pressure sensors, accelerometers, flow meters, and thermocouples.
• Cable layout, installation routing, and PCB-level soldering as needed.
• Use DMM and oscilloscope for verification; perform environmental testing.
