Job summary

Vivo Talent is seeking a Honing Setter Operator for a hands-on role in a manufacturing environment. You will set up, adjust, and operate honing machines to produce precision components while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, using precision measuring equipment, and maintaining production targets. Shift work and overtime may be required in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Experienced with precision measuring equipment (micrometers, bore gauges, verniers, dial indicators).
• Knowledge of geometric tolerances and surface finish requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare honing machines according to production specs and drawings.
• Select and install tooling, fixtures, and honing stones.
• Perform machine adjustments to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements.
• Operate honing equipment safely to meet production schedules.
• Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections with precision tools.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Record production data, inspection results, and machine settings.
• Carry out routine machine maintenance and housekeeping in line with 5S.
