Job summary

Pertemps North West and North Wales requires a Heading Setter in Warrington to set and run a trio of heading machines within the structural heading department. You will perform quality checks, manage wire consumption, and confirm batches in SAP.

The role demands initiative, reading engineering drawings, and skilled use of precision measuring tools. A time-served engineer with an engineering qualification is preferred; nights included in a 3-shift rotation.

Qualifications

• Time-Served Engineer with mechanical knowledge and background.
• HNC in engineering desired or minimum Level 3 in engineering, with willingness to progress.
• Ability to read product drawings.
• Experience with shadow graphs, micrometres, gauges and Vernier calipers.
• Work independently with initiative and a can-do attitude.
• Flexible and proactive approach to the job.

Responsibilities

• Set and run 3 heading machines in the structural heading department.
• Perform quality inspection checks.
• Process SAP transactions for wire consumption and batch confirmations.
• Report data accurately and maintain EHS compliance.
• Maintain MOS speeds at 75% efficiency.
• Ensure the quality of work meets company standards.
