Job summary

Pertemps North West and North Wales in Warrington is seeking an experienced Machine Setter / Engineering Setter to join a precision engineering manufacturer. You’ll set and operate up to three machines, read drawings and ensure quality, working to tight tolerances.

You’ll work a 3-shift rotation (6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm, 10pm–6am) over 36 hours weekly. The role offers £18.36 per hour now, rising to £20+ after training, with an annual equivalent around £34,370–£37,440+.

Qualifications

• Machine setting or mechanical engineering experience.
• Reading engineering drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Level 3 Engineering qualification or relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate up to three machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Carry out quality inspections and record results.
• Make machine adjustments and resolve production issues.
• Complete production records and SAP transactions.
• Ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.
