Job summary

ESCO Maritime Solutions is seeking skilled Wirers to join our electrical manufacturing team. You will wire and assemble components, install harnesses, and perform terminations in line with engineering drawings and standards.

The role requires reading wiring diagrams, working with various cable systems, and conducting bench tests with training provided. Flexitime and a hybrid working model are offered to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Wirer in a regulated environment.
• Familiar with MOD, IPC-620, or DEF-STAN wiring practices.
• Able to work with tight tolerances and detailed electrical instructions.
• Competent with hand tools, test meters and work documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.
• Previous experience in Aero/Defence contracts/projects.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes and 5S practices.

Responsibilities

• Wire and assemble electrical components, control panels and looms per drawings and build instructions.
• Install cable looms and harnesses as required.
• Carry out termination work (crimping, soldering, lacing) per standards.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and layout drawings.
• Work with connectors, trunking, conduit systems, and cable management solutions.
• Perform functional, continuity, and insulation testing of assemblies (training provided).
• Maintain documentation and comply with QA requirements (MITP’s, Traveler Doc, FAIRs, QARs).
• Work to IPC620, internal build standards.
• Adhere to Site, health & safety, environmental, and security protocols.
