Job summary

McGeoch Technology Ltd. in Birmingham is seeking a Panel Wirer to join the production, assembly and test facility. You will contribute to electrical / panel and wiring work across products ranging from light fittings to control & distribution panels for Defence and industrial sectors.

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will read drawings, crimp, route cables, assemble mechanical and electrical components, and operate on standalone projects with a focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

Experience with point-to-point wiring.
Cable end termination experience (crimping/soldering).
Ability to understand and manufacture to GA and schematic drawings.
Control panel wiring experience.
Cable routing experience.
Experience of electrical assembling and wiring of control panels.
Ability to act as a stand-alone operator on any given project.

Responsibilities

Wiring and assembly of components for light fittings to control panels.
Crimping, routing and cable termination on control panels.
Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and schematics.
Mechanical assembly.
Electrical assembly.
Use of hand tools.
Soldering.
