Job summary

Sheffield Forgemasters is seeking a Dimensional Inspector to join the Dimensional Inspection Department at our Sheffield site. You will perform dimensional inspection and mark out on cast, forged and machined components, ensuring conformity to engineering drawings and quality standards, and produce inspection documentation.

You will use metrology tools including FARO Arms, laser scanners and trackers, report non-conformances, support production, and contribute to continuous improvement while

Qualifications

• Experience in dimensional inspection, mark out and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Competent using a range of dimensional inspection and metrology equipment.
• Good attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate inspection reports and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out dimensional inspection and mark out on cast, forged and machined components.
• Verify compliance against engineering drawings and report non-conformances.
• Produce inspection documentation and support production activities.
• Work with teams to resolve dimensional issues and ensure quality standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and development of inspection methods.
