Job summary

Atlassian Williams F1 Team is seeking a skilled Composite Trimmer/Fitter Technician to take carbon fibre parts from raw moulding to race ready, trimming, fitting and bonding to tight tolerances. You will trim, assemble and bond composite components, perform repairs, and self-inspect finished parts to ensure conformance with engineering drawings.

The role requires attention to detail and teamwork across departments.

Qualifications

Proven trimming and assembly experience; ideally in Formula 1 or high-precision motorsport.
Ability to trim composite components to precise dimensions.
Solid understanding of adhesive specifications and their properties.
Knowledge of surface preparation methods for composite bonding.
Proficiency in composite repair techniques.
Strong communication and team ethic; capable of handling own workload and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Trim composite material using specialised hand and power tools to engineering drawings and tolerances.
Fit composite components for bonded assemblies.
Bond and assemble components per company procedures and standards.
Carry out composite repairs, such as filling voids or repairing damage.
Self-inspect finished parts to ensure conformance to drawings and procedures.
Collaborate with other departments to optimise workflow and meet targets.
Keep work area clean, organized and safe following 5S and LEAN principles.
Follow data capturing processes to stay compliant with regulations.
