Job summary

Williams F1 Team is seeking a Composite Trimmer / Fitter Technician to take carbon fibre parts from raw moulding to race-ready, trimming, fitting and bonding to tight tolerances. The role involves trimming, assembly, bonding, and repair work within a high-precision motorsport environment.

Night shift, Monday to Thursday, 18:15 to 04:45, with responsibilities across inspecting parts and coordinating with other departments to optimise workflow and meet production targets.

Qualifications

• Experience trimming and assembling components to strict engineering drawings.
• Trim composite components to precise dimensions with confidence.
• Understand adhesive specifications and properties.
• Know surface preparation methods for bonding.
• Proficient in composite repair techniques.
• Strong teamwork and communication across departments.

Responsibilities

• Trimming composite material using specialised hand and power tools to engineering tolerances.
• Fitting composite components for bonded assemblies.
• Bonding and assembling components per procedures and standards.
• Carrying out composite repairs, such as filling voids or repairing damage.
• Self-inspecting finished parts to ensure conformance to drawings and procedures.
• Collaborating with other departments to optimise workflow and meet targets.
• Maintain clean, safe work area following 5S and LEAN principles.
• Follow data capturing processes to stay compliant with regulations.
