Job summary

Williams F1 Team is seeking a Composite Trimmer / Fitter Technician to take carbon fibre parts from raw moulding to race-ready assemblies, trimming, fitting and bonding to tolerances measured in fractions of a millimetre.

You will trim to drawings, assemble bonded components, inspect finished parts, and keep work areas clean and safe under 5S/LEAN principles, while collaborating across departments to hit production targets on the night shift.

Qualifications

• Proven trimming and assembly experience, preferably in high-precision environments.
• Solid understanding of adhesive specifications and their properties.
• Knowledge of surface preparation methods for composite bonding.
• Proficiency in composite repair techniques.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine team ethic.
• A quality-first mindset with the ability to manage workload and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Trim composite material to engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Fit composite components for bonded assemblies.
• Bond and assemble components per company procedures.
• Carrying out composite repairs using approved techniques.
• Self-inspect finished parts for conformance to drawings.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve quality and throughput.
• Maintain clean, organized and safe work area following 5S/LEAN.
• Follow data capture processes to stay compliant with regulations.
