Job summary

Matchtech Mobility is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist - Turner in Poole, Dorset. The role involves programming, setting and operating sliding-head CNC lathes to produce precision components from drawings, with emphasis on quality and tight tolerances.

You will optimise programs, select tooling, inspect parts, and uphold safety and cleanliness in a collaborative team environment. Competitive hourly pay and overtime available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as CNC Programmer, Setter and Operator.
• Strong CNC turning experience and ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience working to close tolerances and quality standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes.
• Producing precision-engineered components from technical drawings and specifications.
• Optimising programs to improve efficiency and cycle times.
• Selecting and setting tooling and work-holding equipment.
• Monitoring machining processes and making adjustments where required.
• Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections using measuring equipment.
• Ensuring all components meet quality standards and specified tolerances.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Following all company health and safety procedures.
