Job summary

Corr Recruitment in Andover is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join a precision manufacturing environment. You will program, set and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts in line with drawings and work instructions.

Working hours are Monday-Thursday 8:00–17:00 and Friday 8:00–14:30, with overtime available. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of £15–£18 and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge and an understanding of CNC turning processes.
• Understanding of FANUC controllers and their functions in CNC 2 axis lathes.
• Strong maths and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work specifications/instructions.
• Ability to effectively use hand tools for machine setup and maintenance.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic, with the ability to work to set procedures.
• Excellent time management skills to work effectively to tight deadlines.
• Keen eye for detail and quality mindset.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC machines
• Produce high quality machined parts in accordance with work instructions and drawings
• Maintain a clean and safe working area, ensuring that all Health & Safety procedures are followed
• Work as part of the team to support colleagues as well as the needs of the business, with a focus on continual improvements
