Job summary

WR Engineering in Clevedon is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our precision engineering team. You will operate CNC machinery to produce aerospace components, reading drawings and process documentation to ensure parts meet tight tolerances.

The role offers a modern manufacturing environment with opportunities to optimise tooling, offsets, and processes while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Shift patterns include Early and Late shifts with defined hours.

Qualifications

• Experience as CNC machinist or setter/operator.
• Experience in aerospace/precision engineering environments.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience with tight tolerances and quality standards.
• Knowledge of tooling and offsets.
• Engineering or machining qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC machinery to produce precision components.
• Read from engineering drawings, specs and process docs.
• Set tooling, workholding and machine offsets.
• Adjust tooling and offsets to maintain quality.
• Produce components to tight tolerances.
• Perform in-process inspection and dimensional checks.
• Use precision measuring equipment.
• Identify and fix basic machining problems.
• Support improvements to processes, tooling and productivity.
• Maintain housekeeping, quality, and health and safety.
• Collaborate with engineers and inspectors.
