Job summary

Placr Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced CNC Setter / Operator (Miller) to join an established engineering and manufacturing business based in Lower Dicker, East Sussex.

This hands-on role involves setting and operating CNC milling machines, reading engineering drawings and GD&T, and ensuring components meet tight quality standards. Proficiency with FANUC/Heidenhain/Siemens controls and ISO programming is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Experience with ISO and conversational CNC programs.
• Familiar with FANUC, Heidenhain and/or Siemens controls.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC milling machines to produced components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Program and adjust machines, test first-offs and ensure accuracy.
• Maintain quality standards and meet production deadlines.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on machinery.
