Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a CNC Miller within a precision engineering environment.
• Strong experience setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of cutting tools, tooling and workholding.
• Experience machining tight-tolerance components.
• Experience with 3, 4 or 5-axis CNC milling would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of CNC programming or editing at the machine.
• Strong eye for detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider production team.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Producing small to medium batch, high-precision components.
• Working from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Setting tooling, workholding and offsets.
• Carrying out in-process inspection and making adjustments where required.
• Working with a range of materials including aluminium, steel and other engineering materials.
• Producing complex components to tight tolerances.
• Identifying and resolving machining issues.
• Working closely with the inspection and engineering teams.
• Maintaining high standards of quality and housekeeping.
• Supporting continuous improvement and efficient production.
