Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking CNC Millers (Setter/Operators) in Bristol for immediate starts. You will set up and run 3/4/5 axis CNC milling machines, using Heidenhain or Fanuc controls, to manufacture high-precision components. The role involves reading engineering drawings, selecting tools, and ensuring parts meet strict quality standards.

Role includes collaboration with engineers, adherence to the delivery schedule and 5S housekeeping. Willingness to work at other Bristol sites is required.

Qualifications

• Setting up CNC machines incl. workpieces, fixtures and cutting tools.
• Ability to set work offsets with probes and manually by wobble bar/DTI clock.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications; CNC programming knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating 3/4/5 axis CNC milling machines using Heidenhain/Fanuc controls.
• Producing high complexity components from a range of materials.
• Adhering to quality standards; ensure parts meet specs.
• Attend SQDCP meetings in assigned area/s; communicate NRFT.
• Assist in improving 5S organisation; ensure correct materials, route cards, and drawings are used.
