Job summary

Ingersoll Rand plc in Bradford seeks an experienced CNC Laser Setter and Press Brake Operator to manufacture components to drawings and quality standards. You will read engineering documentation, select tooling, and ensure efficient production while maintaining a safe, organized workspace.

The role covers setup, programming, and basic fabrication support within a busy manufacturing team, with ongoing improvement projects and strict adherence to quality control.

Qualifications

• Proven experience setting and operating CNC laser cutting machinery.
• Proven experience setting and operating CNC press brake machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Experience within a sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of measuring equipment and tolerance standards.
• Experience working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.

Responsibilities

• Set, operate and monitor CNC laser cutting machines.
• Program, adjust and optimise machine settings for production.
• Set and operate CNC press brakes to specification.
• Interpret drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Perform quality checks with measuring equipment.
