Job summary

Gardner Denver Transport in Bradford is seeking a skilled CNC Laser Setter and Press Brake Operator to set up and run laser cutting and press brake machinery. You will interpret engineering drawings, select tooling, and ensure components meet specifications in a busy manufacturing environment.

The role requires experience with sheet metal fabrication, measuring tools, and a proactive approach to quality and continuous improvement. Fully site-based position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience setting and operating CNC laser cutting machinery.
• Proven experience setting and operating CNC press brake machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience within a sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of measuring equipment, tolerances, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set, operate, and monitor CNC laser cutting machines.
• Program, adjust, and optimise machine settings to ensure efficient production.
• Set and operate CNC press brakes to produce components to specification.
• Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Carry out basic machine maintenance and daily checks and report issues.
