Job summary

Interaction Engineering in Baldock is seeking an experienced Brake Press Setter Operator to join the busy manufacturing team. You will set and operate CNC brake press equipment to produce high-quality parts according to engineering drawings and customer specifications.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, changing tooling, and programming machines while ensuring tight tolerances and efficient production. A permanent on-site position with full training is offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as Brake Press Setter/Operator is required.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to measurements and tolerances.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate CNC brake press machines to required specs.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings for production.
• Select and change tooling as needed to maintain quality.
• Program machines and adjust settings to optimise output.
• Check dimensions and quality of finished components.
• Maintain housekeeping and basic machine maintenance.
• Work safely and adhere to company procedures.

Brake Press Setter Operator

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Brake Press Setter Operator to join our client's busy manufacturing team.

The Role

As a Brake Press Setter Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC brake press machinery to produce high-quality components to engineering drawings and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC brake press machines
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Selecting and changing tooling as required
• Programming machines and adjusting settings
• Checking dimensions and quality of finished components
• Working with sheet metal and various materials
• Carrying out basic machine maintenance and housekeeping
• Working safely and following company procedures
• Meeting production targets while maintaining high-quality standards

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Brake Press Setter/Operator
• Experience setting CNC brake press machinery
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Good understanding of measurements and tolerances
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication
• Good attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant manufacturing/engineering experience
