Job summary

Molex is seeking a technically skilled operator to join our aerospace manufacturing team in Dundee. You will produce and assemble high-performance components, operate advanced equipment, and use digital systems to ensure quality and traceability across critical defence and aerospace applications.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on engineering capability, experience reading technical drawings, and a strong focus on precision and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-technology manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and assembly instructions.
• Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble aerospace components and assemblies in line with drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Operate advanced manufacturing equipment and automated production machinery.
• Set up, adjust and monitor equipment to meet quality, productivity and operational targets.
• Utilise digital manufacturing systems and electronic work instructions to complete activities accurately.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic troubleshooting.
• Record production and traceability data using electronic manufacturing systems.
• Support the introduction of new manufacturing technologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct inspections using precision measuring equipment and inspection tools.
• Identify and report non-conformances and support corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 quality standards and aerospace regulations.
