Job summary

Curtis Furniture Ltd is seeking a skilled Bench Hand Joiner to join our Leeds workshop. The role involves high-quality bench joinery and woodworking, reading from drawings, and producing bespoke furniture components for hospitality settings.

Candidates should have proven joinery experience, be comfortable with hand tools and machinery, and take pride in accuracy and finish. Full training will be provided for the right candidate, with opportunities for development within a friendly team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bench hand joiner and ability to work with precision.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work to exact measurements.
• Experience with traditional and modern joinery techniques desired.
• NVQ/City & Guilds in Joinery or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality bench joinery and woodworking tasks.
• Read and work accurately from drawings and specifications.
• Manufacture bespoke joinery and furniture components.
• Use hand tools and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop.
• Work independently as well as part of a team.
• Meet deadlines while maintaining quality.
