Job summary

Curtis Furniture Ltd, based on the outskirts of Leeds, is seeking a skilled Bench Hand Joiner to join its workshop and contribute to bespoke furniture for hospitality clients. This permanent, full-time role offers training for the right candidate and the opportunity to work on high-quality projects for prestigious brands.

You will carry out bench joinery, read drawings and specifications, manufacture components, and use a range of hand tools and woodworking machinery safely.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bench Hand Joiner.
• Strong knowledge of traditional and modern joinery techniques.
• Able to read technical drawings and work to accurate measurements.
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
• Reliable, hardworking and punctual.
• NVQ/City & Guilds in Joinery or relevant experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out bench joinery and woodworking to a high finish.
• Read and work accurately from drawings and specifications.
• Manufacture bespoke joinery and furniture components.
• Use a range of hand tools and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of finish.

Skilled Bench Hand Joiner

Location: Leeds LS10, West Yorkshire

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Our client, based on the outskirts of Leeds, has been established for over 25 years and is a market leader in the manufacture of bespoke furniture for the hospitality industry. They manufacture and fit out hotels with high-quality furniture for prestigious clients including Hilton, Sheraton, Holiday Inn, and Crowne Plaza.

This role is ideal for candidates with previous assembly experience and either some experience operating woodworking machinery or a keen interest in learning. Full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
