Job summary

Emerson in Manchester, England is seeking a production assembler to perform machining and assembly of products on-site. The role requires following SOPs, testing to methods, interpreting sales orders, and collaborating with Engineering and Quality teams on quality issues.

You will ensure tools and machines are fit for purpose, participate in continuous improvement, and maintain accurate production records while adhering to Health and Safety guidelines and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out machining and assembly of products as per SOPs and standards.
• Testing products to specified methods and health and safety requirements.
• Interpreting sales order requirements correctly.
• Collaborating with team leader and Engineering/Quality on quality issues.
• Ensuring tools and machines are fit for purpose and reporting issues to supervision.
• Suggesting improvements through the company's continuous improvement program.
• Complying with Health and Safety guidelines and using PPE.
• Keeping production records up to date.
• Being flexible to work in other parts of the production areas.
• Taking an active role in Perfect Execution activities.
• Following all company policies and procedures.
