Job summary

Morson Edge is hiring an Assembler in Cheadle, UK. The role is permanent with day shifts, 37 hours per week, 06:00-14:00 or 07:00-15:00. Salary ranges £26,910.88–£28,788.39 per year, depending on experience.

You will assemble small mechanical/electronic structures and follow drawings and procedures to ensure quality and on-time delivery. Ideal candidates have relevant technical qualification, manufacturing experience, and strong attention to detail, with ESD knowledge and solid hand-tool skills.

Qualifications

• Basic technical qualification or equivalent practical experience in related subjects.
• Experience in manufacturing and assembly.
• Ability to assemble small mechanical/electronic structures to tight tolerances.
• Knowledge of ESD practices and handling.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to use small hand tools and measure with precision.

Responsibilities

• Assembles small mechanical/electronic structures to tight tolerances.
• Performs mechanical/electronic assembly and tasks with components or subassemblies per drawings and procedures.
• Uses schematics, wiring lists and instructions to assemble, modify, rework and test assemblies.
• Resolves assembly problems and reports NCRs if needed.
• Maintains clean, safe work environment and supports team goals.
• Complies with quality, environmental and health & safety regulations.
