Job summary

Our client, based in Cheadle (Stockport), is seeking an Assembler on a permanent basis. The role is 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, DAYS shift. Salary ranges from £26,910.88 to £28,788.39 per annum and depends on experience.

You will assemble small mechanical/electronic structures to tight tolerances and support quality and on-time delivery metrics. Key requirements include manufacturing experience, ESD knowledge, ability to use small hand tools, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Requires a relevant qualification or equivalent practical experience in technical subjects.
• Manufacturing experience is essential.
• Experience assembling small mechanical/electronic structures to tight tolerances.
• Prior ESD knowledge is required.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential.
• Commitment to quality and workmanship.
• Able to use small hand tools.
• Mechanical aptitude with high precision.
• Familiar with precision measuring equipment and hand tools.
• Good soldering skills where needed.

Responsibilities

• Assemble small mechanical/electronic structures to tight tolerances.
• Perform mechanical/electronic assembly and testing using drawings and instructions.
• Use schematics and wiring lists to assemble, modify, rework and test assemblies.
• Identify and report assembly problems and follow company procedures.
• May complete Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Support quality, environmental, OH&S policies and procedures.
