Job summary

Manpower UK in Lichfield is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator/Setter to join a busy production team. You will set and operate Amada press brakes, producing components to engineering drawings with tight tolerances.

The role requires reading drawings, selecting proper tooling, and maintaining safety and efficiency on the shop floor to meet production targets and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience operating and setting press brake machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Solid understanding of measurements, tolerances and specifications.
• Able to work accurately and independently with high attention to detail.
• Strong health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
• UK citizen for MOD related security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate Amada press brake machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Select and set correct tooling for each job.
• Carry out bending and forming operations to specifications.
• Check completed components using measuring equipment.
• Adjust machine settings to maintain quality and accuracy.
• Ensure components meet drawing and customer requirements.
• Work to production schedules and priorities.
• Identify and report quality or production issues.
• Perform basic machine checks and maintain a clean, safe area.
• Follow health & safety and security procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to hit targets.
