Job summary

Safran Nacelles is seeking a Composite Operator to join a controlled environment manufacturing team. The role involves laying up and manipulating carbon plies into complex fixtures with laser projections and templates, in a fast-paced aerospace setting.

You will handle materials such as carbon and glass fibre, honeycomb and adhesives, and contribute to the autoclave curing process as part of a dedicated production line.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of a wide range of materials which demand a high level of manual dexterity.
• Excellent concentration for cutting, trimming material and using tools safely and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Lay up and manipulate carbon plies into complex fixtures using laser projections and templates.
• Tool preparation and cleaning as part of the wider role.
• Understand consumables and their role when components are finished and transferred to autoclaves for cure.
