Job summary

Safran is recruiting a Composite Manufacturing Engineer for the Burnley site via Morson Group. The role focuses on defining and industrialising processes with a takt/flow approach, while ensuring ergonomics and compliance with One Safran standards.

You will create and validate SOPs, routes, BOMs and layouts, drive supplier guidance, and coordinate product validation with key stakeholders, including HSE and digitalisation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrialisation and manufacturing engineering.
• DMAIC problem solving experience.
• Experience with manufacturing processes on site.
• Ability to deliver on time with cost considerations.
• Familiar with One Safran Manufacturing Handbook.
• Skills matrix requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define and standardise manufacturing processes to One Safran standards.
• Design processes with a takt/flow philosophy with ergonomics.
• Create and validate SOPs, work instructions, QC points.
• Develop routes, BOMs, factory layouts and tooling requests.
• Ensure processes meet targets for quality, cost, delivery.
• Provide technical guidance to suppliers.
• Plan and coordinate industrial product validation.
• Manage stakeholders across programmes including H&S and Digitalisation.
• Represent manufacturing engineering with the customer.
• Define plant/equipment concepts and factory layouts.
• Manage risk using PFMEA and SPC.
