Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an Assembly Technician in Gloucester to assemble, test, and pre-release inspect control unit equipment for military and civil customers. You will work with precise build instructions, perform production acceptance testing, and ensure traceability and regulatory compliance.

You will interpret complex drawings, investigate non-conformances with engineering and quality teams, and maintain high standards of safety and product quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical assembly and/or testing in manufacturing/engineering.
• Ability to interpret detailed manuals, drawings and work instructions.
• Proficient PC skills and office/production software experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products per manuals, drawings and build instructions.
• Set up and operate test rigs for production acceptance testing and record results.
• Use manual and automated test equipment to verify performance and diagnose faults.
• Investigate non-conformances with engineering/quality for root cause and corrective actions.
• Interpret and follow detailed work instructions and complex drawings with high accuracy.
• Maintain traceability and documentation to ensure compliance and quality throughout build and test.
