Job summary

Excel Recruitment is looking for a Pre-cast Fitter in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, on a permanent full-time basis. You will join the Yard, Transport and Installation team on-site to install precast concrete products across the UK, primarily in the agricultural sector.

You will mark out and set up structures from drawings, erect precast panels, and coordinate with despatch. Travel across the UK is required, with overtime and occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Experience on construction sites, ideally installing precast concrete products or similar structures.
• Good practical skills and confidence using tools and equipment on site.
• A good understanding of health and safety when working on site.
• Flexible approach to working hours and willingness to adapt to different tasks.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Join the Yard, Transport and Installation team on-site, installing precast concrete products across the UK, mainly in the agricultural sector.
• Mark out and set up concrete structures from drawings and specifications, erect precast panels and units, coordinating with despatch and management for timely delivery.
• Complete site documentation and support general yard and groundwork duties; assist with setup of agricultural shows across the UK.

Salary: GBP16 - GBP16 per hour

Excel Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a Pre-cast Fitter in Ballymena on a permanent full-time basis.

£16 per hour with an additional staff benefit package.

This role will require the successful candidate to work overtime and the occasional Saturday when required.

The Job:

The Pre-cast Fitterwill:

• Join the Yard, Transport and Installation team on-site, working as part of a skilled team installing precast concrete products on various sites and farms throughout the UK, primarily within the agricultural sector.
• Marking out and setting up concrete structures in accordance with drawings and specifications, erecting precast panels and units using site-specific installation methods, and coordinating with despatch and management to ensure the timely delivery of products and equipment.
• Involve completing relevant site documentation, assisting with general yard and groundwork duties as required, and supporting the setup of agricultural shows across the UK. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, travelling to different sites and being part of a busy, practical team.

The Person:

• Previous experience working on construction sites, ideally installing precast concrete products or similar structures.
• Good practical skills and confidence using tools and equipment on site.
• A good understanding of health and safety when working on site.
• A flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to adapt to different tasks.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• A good understanding of written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK as required for work.
