Job summary

Agricultural Recruitment Specialists Ltd are seeking a practical Precast Concrete Installer for assignments around Ballymena. You will join an experienced team installing precast concrete structures on agricultural sites and across the UK, setting out from drawings and ensuring work is safe and high quality.

The role offers 40 hours per week (8am–5pm, Monday to Friday) with overtime, travel across the UK, and varied site work including yard operations, groundwork and preparation for agricultural

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification required.
• Legal right to work in the UK or a valid visa.
• Experience in precast concrete installation preferred.
• Able to perform physical on-site work.
• Follow drawings, specs and installation procedures.
• Good health and safety understanding.
• Team player with good communication.
• Willing to travel throughout the UK.
• Forklift, CSR, slinging/banksman, telehandler or first aid qualifications beneficial.

Job description

Precast Concrete Installer - Ballymena - £33,280 + Overtime

An excellent opportunity for a practical, hands on individual to join an established precast concrete manufacturer based near Ballymena. You'll work as part of an experienced team installing precast concrete structures across agricultural sites and farms throughout the UK. The role involves setting out structures, working from drawings and specifications, and ensuring installations are completed safely and to a high standard. You'll also support yard operations, groundwork, transport and the preparation of agricultural shows, making this a varied role for someone who enjoys practical work and travelling to different sites. Previous precast concrete installation experience would be beneficial, but candidates with a background in construction, structural installation or similar hands on site work are also encouraged to apply.

The Candidate

• Previous experience in precast concrete installation, construction, structural installation or a similar practical role


• Confident undertaking physical, hands on work on site


• Able to follow technical drawings, specifications and installation procedures


• A good understanding of site health and safety


• Practical, reliable and adaptable, with a positive approach to work


• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team


• Flexible regarding working hours and occasional Saturday work


• Willing to travel throughout the UK as required


• Good written and spoken EnglishExperience with setting out, groundwork, tools and equipment would be advantageous


• Relevant qualifications such as forklift, CSR, slinging/banksman, telehandler or first aid would be beneficial, although training can be provided

• Salary £33,280 per annum, based on a 40 hour working week

Candidate Requirements
