Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited is seeking an Estimator - Precast Concrete in the Alfreton area to price bespoke precast products used in landscaping, facades and structural builds. You will review drawings to prepare formal quotations and support bid decisions.

The role requires strong attention to detail, reading technical drawings and proficient use of MS Office. A background in architectural precast and client-facing roles is preferred, with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• Must have estimating experience within architectural precast/facades or related external building products.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• PC literate (Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Estimator position dealing with a comprehensive bespoke precast concrete products used across landscaping, facades, structural buildings and architectural features.
• Review drawings and project related information provided by designers and specifying consultants.
• Price up designs and produce formal quotations.
• Build and maintain working relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
• Input all relevant information onto internal scheduling software and CRM system.
• Prioritising workload to ensure that project deadlines are met.
• Pricing up projects ranging from £30k to £5m.

Ideal applicant qualifications

• Must have estimating experience within architectural precast, facades experience, structural steel, masonry, structural building products or related external building products
• The ability to work under pressure and to timescales when required
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• PC literate (Microsoft Office)
• High levels of organisation, attention to detail and numerical skills
