Job summary

Trent Precast Concrete Ltd, part of the JRL Group, seeks a proactive estimator in Nottingham to develop quotations for tenders and projects from BOQs and client drawings. You will liaise with senior management on production programmes and casting schedules to align new work with current workflow.

The role requires a focus on cost control, tendering for new and existing clients, and building long-term client relationships to secure repeat business.

Qualifications

• 2yrs+ Precast Concrete estimating experience essential (Structural precast and cladding preferred).
• Ability to understand and read manufacture drawings, GA’s, undertake precast take offs from client drawings (structural & architectural).
• Experience producing contract reports and tracking job costing against quotations.

Responsibilities

• Report to General Manager.
• Produce quotations for new tenders and projects from BOQ’s and client drawings.
• Liaise with Senior Management on programmes and casting schedules to match new projects against existing workflow.
• Produce commercial reports for Senior Management on a monthly basis.
• Keep all costing and job surveying up to date.
• Tender for work with new and existing clients to build on existing workload.
• Build relationships with clients to ensure consistent repeat business and that expectations are met.
• Track variations, expenditures and designs against quotations.
