Job summary

Tyneview Primary School within NEAT Academy Trust is seeking a Level 4 Support Assistant to oversee our Pre-School setting. You will supervise classes, lead learning activities, oversee group work, and support staff under senior leadership to create an inclusive, high-quality learning environment for young learners.

We value positive relationships with children and adults, and expect experience in behaviour management and supporting progress.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 or 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience.
• Experience of advancing progress of pupils within a learning environment.
• Experience of managing pupil behaviour and supervising pupils under an agreed system of supervision.
• Ability to relate well to children and adults and establish positive relationships with pupils.
• Ability to respond positively and effectively to unexpected problems and situations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the Pre-School setting.
• Supervise whole classes and deliver agreed learning activities.
• Oversee group work and supervise other support staff.
• Work under senior leadership to foster a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.
