Job summary

Tyneview Primary School is seeking a Teaching Assistant who holds an NVQ 2 or 3 or equivalent experience. The successful candidate will support pupils to make progress, manage behaviour effectively and build positive relationships with both pupils and adults.

You will work within a learning environment, respond calmly to unexpected situations and contribute to an integrated approach to pupil development. The role is based on-site at Tyneview Primary School.

Qualifications

• NVQ 2 or 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience.
• Experience of advancing progress of pupils of relevant age within a learning environment.
• Experience of managing pupil behaviour and supervising pupils under an agreed system of supervision and processes for integrated working.
• Ability to relate well to children and adults and in particular able to establish positive relationships with pupils.
• Ability to respond positively and effectively to unexpected problems and situations.
