Job summary

Tyneview Primary School is seeking a Support Assistant Level 2 for our Playgroup. The role is part-time (3.5 hours each morning, Mon–Fri, term time plus 5 training days) starting January 2027 and fixed to 31 August 2027.

Job description

Tyneview Primary School is seeking to appoint a Support Assistant Level 2 in our Playgroup. We are looking for someone who is flexible and willing to provide classroom support under the direction of the teacher, answering to pupils’ social, emotional and physical needs.

We are looking for a colleague who has:

• Level 2 Learning Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Abilityto use language and other communication skills that children can understand and relate to.
• Abilityto empathise with the needs of children and in particular able to establish positive relationships with pupils.
• Abilityto supervise groups of pupils.
