Tyneview Primary School is seeking a Support Assistant Level 2 to provide classroom support under the teacher's direction, helping pupils with social, emotional and physical needs. The role is part-time, mornings only, term-time plus 5 training days, starting January 2027 and fixed-term to 31 August 2027.

Qualifications

• Requires Level 2 Learning Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Ability to use language and other communication skills that children can understand.
• Ability to empathise with children's needs and build positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support under the direction of the teacher.
• Attend to pupils’ social, emotional and physical needs.
• Supervise groups of pupils as required.
