PDM/PLM Solutions Engineer - Design & Manufacturing UK

Position Overview

You will work as a pre-sales consultant for the UK and Ireland Design & Manufacturing business, collaborating with Autodesk Sales teams and Channel Partners, using your practical skills, innovative thinking, and technical vision.

Reporting to the Technical Sales Manager for Northern Europe, you will oversee the technical aspects of pre-sales discussions with customers, proposing solutions that align with their business objectives and serving as a trusted advisor and technical expert. You will also assist our Channel Partners in their sales efforts and learning process.

Home office or office workplace setup in UK. Travel is required for customer onsite engagements where needed and business-related events.

If you are passionate about technology, you have a learning mindset, you like to translate customer business initiatives into technical solutions and workflows and have in-depth Autodesk product and domain knowledge in Data Management and Process Management (PDM / PLM) or one of the leading PDM / PLM systems in the market. , then we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical solution discovery sessions with customers to understand their needs and business processes and deliver technical demonstrations and presentations showcasing the value of the solution

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the current technologies of your domain, and insight into the industry best practices, business processes, and offerings

  • Develop technical content and sales presentations for use in presales activities and for sales automation content libraries

  • Work with Technical Sales in Channel Partners to upskill and support their business

  • Provide feedback to product development teams

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years professional experience in the engineering industry or technical sales roles

  • Fluent English

  • Knowledge of PDM/PLM technologies and "Design & Manufacturing" solutions

  • Technical knowledge of Autodesk Vault & Autodesk Fusion Manage or one of the leading PDM / PLM systems in the market

  • Good understanding of connected data approaches to automate Design and Manufacturing processes
