Spencer Rigby has partnered with a global Ophthalmic Medical Device company looking for a hands-on IT Application Development Manager who’s ready to take charge, drive smart solutions, and shape the digital backbone of company systems and data landscape.

This isn’t just another management role; this is a high-impact opportunity to lead a talented development team, own system architecture, and deliver scalable, business-critical solutions that fuel global operations.

What you’ll do:

• Lead a high-performing internal development team across all major technical initiatives
• Architect and evolve a robust, scalable systems & data landscape
• Ensure 24/7 system reliability
• Champion best practices across SDLC and keep documentation sharp
• Coach and mentor both team members and stakeholders in modern tools & methods
• Partner with IT and business leaders to turn complex needs into clever, value-driven solutions
• Collaborate with top-tier vendors to keep key systems like ERP, QMS & PLM running smoothly

What You Bring:

• Hands-on leadership experience in tech development within the Medical Device or advanced manufacturing space
• Expertise in architecting and designing new and current systems
• Proven track record of leading support teams in maintaining applications for a global, 24/7 operational business
• Comprehensive expertise in Azure, Java, and API integration
• Extensive experience in vendor management, particularly with ERP, QMS, and PLM systems
• Strong leadership abilities with a focus on coaching and developing team members
