Spencer Rigby has partnered with a global Ophthalmic Medical Device company seeking a hands-on IT Application Development Manager who’s ready to lead, innovate, and shape the digital infrastructure of the company.

This role offers a high-impact opportunity to lead a talented development team, own system architecture, and deliver scalable, business-critical solutions supporting global operations.

What you’ll do:

• Lead a high-performing internal development team across major technical initiatives
• Design and evolve a robust, scalable systems & data landscape
• Ensure 24/7 system reliability
• Promote best practices across the SDLC and maintain clear documentation
• Mentor team members and stakeholders in modern tools & methods
• Collaborate with IT and business leaders to develop innovative, value-driven solutions
• Work with vendors to ensure smooth operation of key systems like ERP, QMS & PLM

What You Bring:

• Leadership experience in tech development within Medical Devices or advanced manufacturing
• Expertise in system architecture and design
• Experience supporting global, 24/7 operational applications
• Proficiency in Azure, Java, and API integration
• Vendor management experience, especially with ERP, QMS, and PLM systems
• Strong leadership skills focused on coaching and development
