Job Description
NECSWS has an excellent opportunity for a Presales professional. We are seeking a candidate with specific knowledge of the Public Safety sector, covering areas such as Police, Fire, Ambulance, or Transport.
An essential requirement is experience in product demonstrations and tender responses.
Main responsibilities:
The candidate will join the Safety pre-sales team, with key responsibilities including:
- Assisting the sales team with bid responses, collaborating with product, development, and portfolio teams as needed.
- Configuring, building, and demonstrating NEC Safety products.
- Interpreting demonstration scenarios from customers to design appropriate product configurations.
- Demonstrating the overview and detailed functionality of NEC Safety portfolio to support new business and account management presentations.
- Serving as a subject matter expert for product-related questions during the sales process.
- Having a good understanding of Safety product offerings such as control rooms, operational policing, evidence management, biometrics, and managed services.
- Roles are available for both junior and senior pre-sales; senior roles will handle major bids over £20m, covering infrastructure, applications, and services.
Qualifications
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Presales experience or proven presentation capabilities, gained in the private sector with public sector clients or within public sector organizations.
- Good working knowledge of the Safety business domain.
- Experience with Control Rooms, Operational Policing, Evidence Management/Data Analytics, or Managed Services.
Ideally, you will have:
- Knowledge and experience of the Public Safety market.
- Understanding of customer requirements in the Public Safety sector.
- Government security clearance.
- Full understanding of the Government & Safety environment and its drivers.
- Awareness of current market competition.
- Ability to interact effectively with high-level managers and senior officers.
- Focus on customer retention and satisfaction.
- Adaptability to different demonstration situations and deadlines.
- Support capabilities for proposal writing and post-demonstration follow-up.
- Act as an ambassador for NEC capabilities both internally and externally.
Personal Skills:
- Self-reliant with strong teamwork skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of working with minimal guidance.
- Strong written skills, especially in bid responses.
- Effective relationship builder.
- Good organizational skills and resource management.
- Willingness to travel and hold a valid UK/EC driving license.
