Job Description

NECSWS has an excellent opportunity for a Presales professional, specifically with knowledge of the Public Safety sector, including Police, Fire, Ambulance, or Transport.

The role requires experience in product demonstrations and tender responses.

Main responsibilities:

• Assist the sales team with bid responses, working with product, development, and portfolio teams.
• Configure, build, and demonstrate NEC Safety products.
• Design product configurations for customer demonstration scenarios.
• Demonstrate NEC Safety portfolio functionalities for new business and account management.
• Serve as a product subject matter expert during sales processes.
• Understand associated Safety products like control rooms, policing, evidence management, biometrics, and managed services.

The role can be for junior or senior pre-sales, with senior roles handling major bids over £20m.

Qualifications:

• Presales experience or proven presentation skills, preferably in the private sector with public sector clients.
• Knowledge of the Safety business arena.
• Experience with control rooms, policing, evidence management, data analytics, or managed services.

Ideally, you will have:

• Knowledge of the Public Safety market.
• Understanding of customer requirements in the Public Safety sector.
• Government security clearance.
• Understanding of government and safety environment drivers.
• Awareness of market competition.
• Ability to interact with high-level managers and officers.
• Focus on customer retention and satisfaction.
• Adaptability in demonstration situations and ability to deliver high-quality demos under deadlines.
• Support skills for proposals and post-demo follow-up.
• Ambassadorship for NEC capabilities.

• Excellent presentation, communication, and written skills.
• Relationship-building abilities.

• Willingness and ability to travel, with a valid UK/EC driving license.
