Job summary

Red Bull Powertrains is seeking a Pre-Rig Technician for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Milton Keynes. You will conduct pre-rig and de-rig activities for Power Units and UUTs, supporting dyno testing with instrumentation and system updates.

The role requires hands-on experience with Power Units, basic electrics and hydraulics, and familiarity with F1 powertrain architecture. Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Motor Vehicle Engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with engine components and full Power Unit testing, ideally in motorsport.
• Hands-on experience with Power Units, electrics and hydraulics.
• Understanding of F1 Powertrain architecture.
• Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Motor Vehicle Engineering preferable.
• Computer literate, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-rig and de-rig of UUTs to/from the dyno.
• Assist with installation/removal of UUTs from test bed and update systems as required.
• Build up dyno and pre-rig assemblies as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with engine build/engine strip/engineering teams.
• Support flexible shifts and travel to events to meet business demands.
