Job Opportunity: Pharmacy Technician Trainee

We are offering an opportunity to participate in on-the-job training while gaining experience in various pharmacy services and undertaking an approved Pharmacy course, leading to registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), subject to successful completion.

Pharmacy Technicians play a vital role in managing the supply of medicines and devices within the pharmacy and assist pharmacists with advisory services. They are expected to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with minimal supervision, ensuring the quality and accuracy of their work and that of others.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Undertake distance learning combined with on-the-job training to complete a recognized Pharmacy qualification for GPhC registration.
2. Participate in rotational training across all areas of pharmaceutical services.
3. Engage in regional and departmental education and training, demonstrating a commitment to completing the two-year Pharmacy Technician course.
4. Collaborate with colleagues, tutors, and other professional staff.
5. Maintain safe working systems in accordance with medicines legislation and health and safety regulations.
6. Perform additional duties as reasonably requested by senior management.
7. Attend regular meetings with your Educational Supervisor.
8. Participate in regional study days and online forums.
