Job summary

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) in Norwich is seeking a pre-registration Pharmacy Technician as a 2-year fixed term training position. The role blends work and study with the University of East Anglia for the Education & Training Certificate, leading to GPhC registration.

You will be based in the dispensary at Hellesdon Hospital, gaining hands-on experience across wards and medicines management while completing the required education and practice standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English, maths and science.
• NVQ/BTEC Level 2 in Pharmacy Services.

Responsibilities

• Undertake and complete the UEA training course meeting initial education and training standards for Pharmacy Technicians.
• Train and work in designated areas within pharmacy to complete required competencies.
• Contribute to dispensing, medicine management, procurement, distribution and ward top-up services.
• Ensure all duties comply with legal, ethical and professional guidelines.
• Develop knowledge across hospital pharmacy to become a Pharmacy Technician via UEA qualification.
