Job summary

Prospex Recruitment is seeking a Pre Press Operator/Artworker for a well-established large format signage and display company in Bishop's Stortford area. You will prepare artwork for large format and digital print, verify files, and ensure accurate proofs on schedule.

Key responsibilities include liaising with Production and customer services, and coordinating with the artwork team to plan production-ready jobs. Strong knowledge of Adobe CS and RIP software is required.

Qualifications

• Experience producing print-ready artwork for large format and digital print.
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with production and customers.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro.
• Familiarity with RIP software and workflow systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and create artwork for large format and digital print.
• Check artworks supplied and prep for printing.
• Ensure proofs are created and approved on time.
• Coordinate with Production Manager, customer services and customers to meet timelines.
• Plan jobs entering production with the artwork team.

Pre Press Operator / Pre Press Artworker

Location: Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire / Essex Area

Salary: DOE

Company: A well-established large format signage and display company.

Role: Our client is currently looking for a Pre Press Artworker/Operator to join their well-established team in the Bishops Stortford Area.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation/creation of artwork for large format and digital print
• Check all artworks supplied and prepare them for printing
• Ensure artwork proofs are accurately created and proofed on time
• Liaise with Production manager, customer services team and customers to ensure timelines are met
• Work closely with the production manager/artwork team to plan jobs going into production

Requirements:

• Experience producing print ready artwork
• Digital print knowledge
• Good communication skills
• Experience working on files for a varied range of print and finishing production.
• A good knowledge of Adobe CS especially InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat Pro.
• Knowledge of Print Factory Rip Software / Caldera RIP Software
• Knowledge of workflow systems - advantageous
