Job summary

Biscuit International UK in Gateshead is seeking a Pre-mix Operative (Small Weighman) to join the Production team. You will weigh ingredients, label them and transport them to the correct line while maintaining full traceability and supporting continuous production.

Reporting to the Product Team Lead, you will follow recipe sheets, work in a fast-paced environment, and uphold food safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Experience in food manufacturing or handling.
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow recipes, specifications and procedures accurately.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Reliable, organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Level 2 Food Safety essential.
• Level 2 Health & Safety and Manual Handling desirable.

Responsibilities

• Weigh small quantities of ingredients accurately in line with recipe sheets.
• Conduct physical checks on raw materials and report non-conformances.
• Use the Myrias system to weigh, label and record ingredients correctly.
• Ensure strict stock rotation and full traceability compliance.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and on time.
• Transport prepared ingredients to the correct production line.
• Follow clean-as-you-go, hygiene and allergen control procedures.
• Adhere to all food safety, health & safety and manual handling requirements.
• Use approved tools to open ingredients and return materials to correct locations.
• Support other production activities when required.

We’re seeking a Pre‑mix Operative (Small Weighman) to join our Production team in Gateshead and support the accurate preparation of small‑weighed ingredients for production.

Reporting to the Product Team Lead, this role ensures ingredients are weighed, labelled and transported correctly, maintaining full traceability and continuous production without unscheduled downtime.
