Job summary

Regional House Builder seeks a Pre-Development Engineer to join its Technical team in Lancashire. You will support developments from land acquisition through planning, tender and construction, delivering feasibility assessments and technical packages.

Ideal candidates have a HNC or BSc in Civil Engineering or related discipline, with experience in pre-development within housebuilding, strong AutoCAD and MS Office skills, and a keen eye for value engineering and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Experience in pre-development engineering within housebuilding or related sector.
Experience across multiple sites and projects.
Strong CAD and Office software skills.
Excellent attention to detail and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Attend project team meetings from inception to site completion.
Assist with selection of external consultants and specialists.
Manage external consultants to deliver: site viability assessments, planning packages, engineering tenders and construction packages.
Undertake designer duty-holder role under CDM regulations.
Engage with authorities to obtain approvals and sign‑offs.
