Job summary

Mitie Group plc. delivers security and facilities services; this role supports pre-construction activity for major projects in the Newcastle area.

You will assist planning, documentation and coordination to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery. The successful candidate will work from a Matfen-based office near Newcastle upon Tyne, benefiting from an annual appraisal, salary review, and a package including Life Cover, Pension and wellbeing benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provide crucial support to our Pre Construction Supervisor and Project Delivery teams
• Ensuring strict Adherence to industry standards, fostering a culture of compliance within our organisation
• Document, and update all essential paperwork/compliance requirements
• Support with pre-construction site surveys
• Procure, and coordinate project management resources and equipment, such as tools, skips, hygiene facilities, drinking water, site disposable materials etc
• Assist to make sure that scope is delivered and variations highlighted
• Analyse risks and opportunities
• Communicate project status to all participants
• Adherance to Health & Safety requirements, waste management and environmental controls
• Production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful security company who specialise in Security / Access Control Systems to some of the largest Utility companies across the UK as part of the National Grid Technology Framework. The Pre Construction Support role will assist with the planning and coordination of pre-project activity to ensure projects are delivered on time, and are cost effective.
