Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is representing a leading international specialist contractor seeking a Pre-Construction Manager for Slough (Office) and Bristol (Site). The role links project planning with delivery, coordinating procurement, subcontracting, logistics and technical requirements across the UK and Europe.

The ideal candidate has a technical engineering background with experience in construction-related environments, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in pre-construction, project engineering or technical project delivery.
• Knowledge of structural steelwork, manufacturing, precast concrete or modular construction.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the pre-construction process from procurement through to site mobilisation.
• Procurement and subcontract tendering management.
• Review subcontractor documentation (insurances, accreditations and compliance).
• Coordinate suppliers, manufacturing schedules and subcontractor resources.
• Support production planning and installation sequencing.
• Manage transportation logistics and overseas supplier coordination.
• Act as technical point of contact for materials, specifications and quality requirements.
• Liaise with commercial and finance teams regarding measurements, valuations and invoicing.
• Coordinate stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery from pre-construction to site execution.
